What we have on offer is peace and quiet: lean back and relax in these unspoilt surroundings.
- Take a hike along Lake Ruppin with its 15 km² to Neuruppin (12 km) or to Karwe (2.5 km).
Follow in the footsteps of famous 19th century German writer Theodor
Fontane who described the scenic region of "Mark Brandenburg" in his
numerous well-known books.
- Visit the area of "Ruppiner Schweiz" with its
beautifully located restaurant named "Boltenmühle" amid old beech trees
on Lake Tornow.
- Make sure to pay a visit to Neuruppin, district town
of "Ostprignitz-Ruppin", where both Fontane and the master builder and
architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel were born.
- Relax at the "Fontane-Therme" thermal spa in Neuruppin with its unique lake sauna and extensive wellness services on offer.
- Visit the town of Rheinsberg with its magnificent
castle, former residence of Frederick II King of Prussia and his
brother Prince Henry. Make sure to look into the outlet shops of
Rheinsberg's ceramic industry. More than 100 years of tradition are
only waiting to be explored!
- Meet "Ritter Kahlbutz", the mummified corpse of a
German knight, in Kampehl, and visit Germany's one and only "Museum of
Lies" which is located at Gantikow.
- Experience how the history of former Prussia
is constantly all around you. We recommend visiting the only private
"Prussian Museum" in Wustrau (approx. 5 km) - an experience not to be
missed!
- Make use of the convenient location of our guesthouse for day trips to Berlin and Potsdam.
- Or simply enjoy our unspoilt nature without
taking long trips into the surrounding countryside. Why not spend some
time swimming, rowing, sun-bathing, fishing, enjoying a barbecue - just
relax! In wintertime, ice-skating is another popular pastime.
Come and visit our beautiful region of "Ruppiner Land" -
we look forward to welcoming you here! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
